DSE AudioRecord
Record everything Windows plays.
YouTube, a music player, a film, a web radio: DSE AudioRecord records what your PC plays, sets the level, adds your voice if you wish, then exports a clean file. Nothing else to install: a single executable is all it takes.
Don't mute Windows completely. Windows hands over the sound after its own volume control: muted sound is recorded as silence. If the room must stay quiet, keep the volume low and raise “Recording volume” in the app instead.
What DSE AudioRecord does
All Windows sound
Direct capture of the audio output (WASAPI loopback): videos, music, films, web radio. No virtual driver, no audio cable to install.
Recording volume
From −12 to +30 dB, adjustable before and during recording: a good level even when the room volume is low.
5-band equalizer
60 Hz to 12 kHz, ±12 dB, seven presets and a response curve. You hear it on playback and it applies on export.
Your voice on top
Optional microphone, recorded on a separate track: adjust its volume afterwards, without recording again.
Notifications muted
Windows and messaging sounds (Discord, Teams, WhatsApp…) are muted while recording, then restored.
MP3, FLAC, WAV
Export to MP3, FLAC, 16 or 24-bit WAV, with normalization and automatic trimming of leading and trailing silence.
Original preserved
The raw recording is never altered : change the equalizer and export again as often as you like.
Live levels
Left, right and microphone meters as soon as a source is selected: you know the sound is captured before you even record.
Nothing leaves your PC
No connection, no account, no telemetry. A recording interrupted by a crash is recovered on the next launch.
The sound is copied, never diverted: what you hear while recording stays exactly the same.
How it works
DSE AudioRecord listens to the Windows output without getting in the way, keeps a raw copy, and applies your settings only on playback and export.

MP3 · FLAC · WAV
The equalizer, volumes and normalization act on the exported file: the original stays intact on your disk until the next recording.
Installation and use
Install (one minute)
Download
Download DSE_AudioRecord.exe and put it in any folder you like.
Run
Double-click DSE_AudioRecord.exe. If Windows shows a warning, choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
That's it
No driver, no virtual cable, no restart. Your settings are remembered between sessions.
Record in three steps
Set up
Pick the output to record, start your music and adjust “Recording volume” until the meters are well filled, with no red. Tick the microphone if you want to speak.
Record
Click Record. You can pause and resume, and the recording volume stays adjustable along the way.
Listen and export
Play it back with the equalizer, balance your voice, then export to MP3, FLAC or WAV.
Bluetooth headphones: don't use their microphone if the music plays through the same headphones. Windows would switch them to hands-free mode, mono and phone quality. Prefer the PC's microphone or a USB microphone. The app warns you and never opens it without your consent.
Personal use: private copying requires a lawful source and use within your household (in France, art. L. 122-5 of the Intellectual Property Code). Do not distribute recordings of protected works. DRM-protected content may play back as silence, and circumventing a technical protection is prohibited (art. L. 335-3-1).
